United Methodist Day of Awareness for Racial Justice
“A Day of Awareness II: The United Methodists Church’s March for Racial Justice.”
Saturday March 21, 1:00 to 2:15 p.m.
What has the UMC community done for racial equality and justice? What needs to be done going forward?
There will be 3 presentation/discussion sessions led by three different speakers.
Session I (9:45-11:00): The District Superintendent Rev. Simeon Law will start the day with Asian America’s contributions to and hopes for the future in this March to Justice.
Session II (11:00-12:15): Ms. Aurora Celestin will speak about her personal journey through the UMC community as a person of color and woman.
Session III (1-2:15) Rev. Doug Cunningham, Beyond the White Church
